Witness: I just love some of these pastels. Some of them, chalkey as they are, they are soft and succulent, they almost feel moist. The mixing of the colors was a lot of fun. I liked watching the blue ribbon take on texture. As I witness it, I see a very plain, non-emotional escape. Then I see the ribbon holding the seperate worlds, or being there with them to tie them together. I think of the salmon globes as the entities, the planets, unto themselves, gravitating where they need to. Sometimes being given a common thread by being on the path of the ribbon, sometimes having the freefloat in space as what is common about them. They are at peace, they do and float along. They do what they do. They have their completeness, their wholeness. |
